Why use physiotherapy?

 

Physiotherapists use a variety of hands-on treatments, education and exercise prescription to help people maximize their physical abilities. Whether it’s headaches, a complaining shoulder or difficulty walking, there is a physiotherapy treatment that can help reduce pain, increase strength and flexibility and manage independence. 

Our physiotherapist can treat many conditions, including:

  • Back and neck pain -  injuries, whiplash
  • Joint or muscle problems - strains and sprains, tennis elbow, shoulder or knee problems, repetitive strain injuries
  • Sport or recreation injury - cartilage or ligament problems, overuse injuries
  • Immobility due to accident or illness 
  • Women's and men's health - Continence clinic for stress incontinence, pelvic instability and training and urgency training

Our physiotherapists

All our therapists are highly trained and dedicated to maintaining continual professional development. . We work to the Code of Standards set by The Chartered Society of Physiotherapists. We all use a variety of treatment techniques such as mobilisations, manipulations, electrotherapy, exercise, massage and acupuncture.

Girija Wagle, who is the lead physiotherapist, obtained an MSc in Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation from University of West of England, Bristol. She has worked as a Senior 1 Physiotherapist in outpatients department at the Royal Glamorgan Hospital for 7 years. Additionally, she also has more than 4 years experience working in one of the best hospitals in Mumbai, India.
